We travel north through Belgium stopping briefly for a lunch stop in the seaside resort of Ostend in Belgium where you will have some time at your leisure to purchase a snack before continuing onto your accommodation where you will arrive later in the day. Having freshened up dinner is included this evening. Day 2 We start the day with a visit to Delft where we have arranged a guided tour of one of the main porcelain factories in the town. From here we continue onto Holland's capital city where we include a visit to Madurodam, an attraction that is a miniature version of Holland. You will be able to purchase a light snack here for lunch before you are joined by your guide who will take you around the historic HAGUE both by coach & on foot, terminating at the superb 'Panorama Mesdag'. This cylindrical painting is more than 14 metres high and 120 metres in circumference. The vista of the sea, the dunes and Scheveningen village (a coastal resort outside of The Hague) was painted by one of the most famous painters of the Hague School, Hendrik Willem Mesdag. It is the oldest 19th century panorama in the world in its original site, and a unique cultural heritage You will also be given a behind the scenes to ur which will give you a very special insight into the creation of this painting. We then return to the hotel for dinner later today. Day 3 Today we include a full day at the stunning Keukenhof Gardens (entrance included) where you can admire the exuberantly coloured flowers and delightly coloured landscaped gardens. This spectacular open-air flower exhibition serves as a permanent showcase for the bulb and flower industry, offering a wide range of attractions guaranteed to excite and delight - a treat for gardeners and non-gardeners alike ! But Keukenhof offers more than just flowers.... throughout the park you'll find exhibitions by Dutch artists, a variety of restaurants and sunny terraces, just perfect for relaxing after an exciting day. Dinner is included on your return to the hotel tonight. Day 4 This morning it is time to check out of the hotel and we head south stopping briefly in the pretty Dutch border town of Sluis with its traditional windmill before arriving in Bruges, known as the 'Venice of the North'. Here you will hav e a couple of hours at your leisure to explore, maybe take a canal cruise or just enjoy the picturesque surroundings before we journey onto Calais for your early evening crossing back to the UK arriving back at your original departure point later this evening.
