A "PADDAN" boat trip around the canals of the city and trough the harbour - a unique experience. A visit to the world's largest floating ship museum where you can explore the Fladen Lightship, the Småland destroyer and the Nordkaparen submarine. An excursion to Marstrand island which was a very fashionable summer resort in the 19th century and is still popular today, with its cobbled streets, turn of the century wooden houses, beaches, walks, many regattas, restaurants and the impressive Carlsten Fortress. A guided tour at Carlstens fortress located on the highest peak on the island of Marstrand. The fortress, constructed in the 1660's, has a colourful history, told during daily guided tours in summer. For more than 300 years this large grey guardian has protected the small wooden city below. In the old days the fortress was associated with battles, captivity and fear. Nowadays it is associated with fabulous feasts, dinners and conferences and today the fortress outline the famous contours of the island. An excursion to Handelsman Flink on the island of Flatön in the Bohuslän archipelago . To get here you 'island hop' with your coach using the traditional rope pulley system. The local people have purposely kept to the more traditional methods of transport, thereby preserving the history and ook, rather than building new bridges that would be out of place in this beautiful region. In surroundings with a long cultural tradition, Handelsman Flink offers breathtaking views of Malö Strömmar. Visit the shop from a bygone era and enjoy a delicious meal in the restaurant. Guests arriving by boat can berth at the landing stage immediately below the restaurant and also perhaps take the opportunity to jump into the 'hot tub' which is located at the end of the pier! Small groups you can have cooking classes and learn to prepare and cook traditional Swedish food. A visit to Skärhamn and the Nordic Watercolour Museum Christmas Markets at the Liseberg Amusement Park. This is Sweden's largest amusement park that hosts many events and concerts throughout the year, one of which is the wonderful Christmas Market, recognised as one of the finest in Europe. The park also has beautiful gardens and many restaurants that offer dining both indoor as well as outdoor.
