SAMPLE CHRISTMAS ITINERARY
Day 1 - Christmas Eve We depart from your selected pick up points and head north. We will stop en-route for refreshments . This afternoon we arrive at your hotel, The Angus. All the bedrooms have en-suite facilities, and as you would expect of a top class hotel, you will find the standard of quality, service and facilities consummate to your expectations. Why not relax in the heated indoor swimming pool, enjoy an invigorating Spa Bath and make full use of the sauna and solarium. Upon arrival you will be greeted by your hosts where you will have the opportunity to relax and enjoy tea, coffee with mince pies, whilst your luggage is taken to your room. You will have time to freshen up before a candle-lit Festive Sherry Reception which is held in the bar before dinner. Dinner this evening will be in the restaurant followed by entertainment in the ballroom. Day 2 - Christmas Day After a hearty Scottish breakfast, we transfer you to your included visit to Glamis Castle (childhood home of the Queen Mother). The theme is Victorian and the Christmas festivities have just begun. You will enjoy a Victorian themed guided tour . Later this morning you will have the opportunity to enjoy lunch in the restaurant (payable locally). From here we transfer you to Blairgowrie. Here you will have the opportunity to discover this red stone town. We have arranged a visit to Piob Mhor the famous kilt manufacturer. What ever you visit you will need to build up an appetite for tonight’s Christmas Dinner. We return you to the hotel in time to freshen up for this evenings festivities. Traditional Turkey Roast ‘wi’ all the Trimmings , party hats, crackers, and mistletoe all ensure a party atmosphere and Santa is bound to appear bearing gifts. Entertainment this evening is the Ballroom with Merlin! Day 3 -Hogmanay More important to the Scots than Christmas - Hogmanay is a night not to be missed! After a traditional full Scottish breakfast, the rest of the day is at your leisure. For those who wish to join us we have arranged an included visit to Pitlochry we will return in time for you to relax and freshen up before this evenings festivities. Alternatively you may wish to stay at the hotel and enjoy a swim followed by a sauna or spa-bath. Round off this festive season with the Grand Hogmanay Buffet served in the ballroom with entertainment to follow. After the countdown to New Year, featuring the lone piper, enjoy s tovies and a dram before dancing the night away into the wee hours.
Day 4 - New Years Day After a leisurely breakfast we transfer you to South of Crieff where we have arranged a visit to the Grouse Experience and Distillery with tasting. Why not enjoy a lite lunch in their restaurant (payable locally). Later we visit the Stuart and Waterford Crystal at Crieff. Whilst in Crieff why not visit the Visitor Centre and discover the Highland Drovers Exhibition and the Buchan Thistle Pottery visitor gallery. Later this afternoon return to The Angus in time to freshen up. If you fancy a game of bingo before dinner it will be held in the ballroom, otherwise just put your feet up and take it easy before dinner. Dinner this evening will be a special ‘Taste of Scotland’ menu followed by entertainment.
Day 5 - All good things come to an end and after a Full Scottish breakfast you are bid farewell as you head home full of the festive spirit.
