Sample Itinerary

Day 1 - Arriving in Vienna, you will be met on arrival by our local representative and transferred to your centrally situated hotel.

Day 2 - Vienna - A guided tour of this wonderful city taking in the Imperial and Architectural beauty, a reminder of the great wealth of the Habsburgs and the splendour of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Also included is a visit to the Schönbrunn Palace, the residence of the Habsburg Empress. Free time to explore at your leisure.

Day 3 - Melk Abbey & River Danube cruise - A full day excursionexploring the UNESCO listed Danube Valley with its rich history and magical scenery. The famous Benedictine Melk Abbey is one of Europe’s finest examples of Baroque architecture. We cruise along the scenic river Danube to the historic town of Krems with its colourful array of historical buildings.

Day 4 - Liechtenstein Museum & Kunsthistorisches Museum - A guided tour of the Liechtenstein Museum including the 16th century  Art and Treasure Chambers of Archduke Ferdinand and Emperor Rudolph II. There are also Baroque collections of Archduke Leopold Wilhelm which form the basis of the museum’s magnificent collections. There will be the opportunity of attending a concert in Vienna.

Day 5 - The Albertina is a grand Viennese Palace which traces art from Impressionism to Modernism. Artists range from the French masters Monet, Degas and Cézanne, to Picasso and the abstract expressionists, Mark Rothko and Sam Francis. Return to the UK later today.
