Yorkshire has over 800 attractions, from World Heritage Sites to mining museums, ruined castles and abbeys, to hands-on museums and art galleries.

One of the most popular areas in the Yorkshire Dales in North Yorkshire which has many moods from wild and windswept to peacefully quiet.

Each valley or ‘dale’ has its own distinct character and often, a visit to the stone-built villages surrounded by dry stone walls which are set amidst traditional farming landscapes of fields and barns, is a highlight. Spectacular waterfalls and ancient woodlands contrast with the scattered remains of former mine workings and other rural industries, a reminder of the area’s rich industrial heritage.

The North York Moors - A stunning National Park which boasts ancient woodland and spectacular coastline.
